Q: I have security concerns about being on a site like this. What can I do to ensure my safety in joining this community?

We understand that some potential members of this site might be endangering themselves by assossiating with this ministry.

We have a simple solution. Use an "alias" on our site. We don't care. We think it is smart.

Just like an e-mail address does not need to your full name, first and last, properly spelled, neither does your profile on this site need your full and correct name. What does matter to us is your presence and contribution to this missions community. Through private messaging you can in the future disclose yourself to individuals when you find a potential partner or want to take a connection to a deeper level. In the mean time, interact with the community under a pseudonym. We encourage it.

Examples: MissionsGuy, SurferGal, HWFinAfrica, etc.

Q: How do I change the welcome message at the top of my page?

This is relatively easy to change. All you need to do is sign into your account, then click on the welcome text at the top of your page you would like to change. Once you're done, just hit save, and it will take effect.

Q: I want to customize my page. What are some interesting options?

Change your Font, Font Color, and more

1. Click on the "My Page" tab at the top of the website.
2. On the left hand column, under your profile picture, click on 'Manage My Page'.
3. You will be taken to a page titled "My Page Settings." Now click the link below this that says 'Change your theme on the Appearance page.'
4. Right under where it says 'Now, make it unique, click the tab 'All Options'.
5. Play around with it and change whatever you wish.
6. Make sure you hit 'Save' to make your changes take effect.

Change the Layout of your Page

You can click and drag most of the 'boxes' on your page and rearrange them as you wish. For example, if you want to move your page comments (which are normally displayed at the bottom of the page), you simply click inside the 'box' where your comments are and drag it to the desired location on your page.

Custom Text Boxes

You have a custom text box on your page that you can put anything you want into; images, custom html code, and so on. Most commonly, people will write a summary of their ministry then drag the text box to the top of their page (just described). Q: Can I map the location of my photos, videos, etc?

Yes! Once you have uploaded a picture or video, click on 'Edit' underneath it. Type in the Location in the text box provided, then click Map it! It should automatically find your location, but if it doesn't you can easily manipulate the map and move the marker to your desired location.
